Great walks: Vauxhall to Battersea
This walk is from Vauxhall to Battersea along the River Thames. With all the construction work around Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station, you do have to keep cutting back in rather than being able to walk the whole way along the river, however you do get to see a lot of the progress going on.
It's a long walk, but there are a couple of gems, starting off with Vauxhall Park. It's a gorgeous, peaceful spot for a sunny day, or just to sit and read the paper. Mostly known for its lavender garden, the planting throughout the park will be stunning come summer.
At the other end of the walk is Battersea Park, which seems to have practically everything you could want from a park. Mini golf, Go Ape, a lake you can go boating on. Big open spaces, beautiful sub-tropical plants and a river promenade. Not forgetting a stunning display from the Fountains - these really are incredible. It's a perfect place to sit and chill after that walk!
