The illustration is designed to bring to mind sitting in a deckchair on a summer’s afternoon, ice cream in hand, listening to the sound of musicians playing on the bandstand.
Filled with the daydreams of lazy summers, the colour palette of bright sorbet colours is inspired by Queen Mary’s Rose Garden. Broad stripes with a painted texture on the grass add a soft, tactile touch whilst geometric shapes in the trees are carefully layered for impact.
