It's fantastic you're interested in a piece of original art made especially for you.

To start, all that's needed is to know the kind of place you’d like recreated in my style.

Then we can decide whether a painting or illustration would suit it best. If there are several places you'd like to include, we can make a Storyline Skyline.

If you’ve seen something on my website that you like the idea of, that can be our starting point too.

If it’s a well-known place, a photo isn't required.

If it’s somewhere local to you or less well-known, e.g a home or remote destination, I will need a photo.

• We decide what I’ll be illustrating or painting for you - e.g a building, a landscape or a skyline of meaningful places
• We decide what size you’d like and I email you the costs
• We talk about what colours you like
• For paintings, I create a colour sample and rough sketch. For illustrated fine art prints, I create the drawings
• You get a real-life proof to look at and hold: colours for the painting, and a mini-print for the illustration
• If you’re happy with your proof, we get the final piece produced

• Are there specific colours within your home that you'd like your art to complement?
• We can take inspiration from any scene or theme you like e.g sunsets or an object or room in your home.
• I'm also more than happy to suggest a palette

Of course!

For Storyline Skylines, I recommend choosing between 10-15 locations.

• In the first instance, you can simply send me a list of these locations
• I can suggest the landmarks I think would work best together.
• You can let me know if you have particular favourites you’d like to swap or change.

Anything up to 1m!

As a general rule, the bigger the better (see advice from interior designers).

Standard sizes - like ‘A’ sizes tend to be easier to find ready-made frames for, or you can get your piece professionally framed. In which case, we can do anything up to 1m.

Your final piece will be a painting or an illustrated fine-art giclée print depending on the style you like - paintings are more abstract, printed illustrations highly detailed

Paintings: I use professional acrylics on canvas or wooden panels

Illustrations: Your fine-art print is an archival giclée print on textured paper similar to watercolour paper

Fees are paid in two halves - first for me to start your commission, the second before the final piece is delivered.

Payment is in GBP, via credit card or PayPal, through a special product on my website.

I confirm all timelines with you before starting work. The below gives a guideline.

• For paintings, I recommend allowing 3 weeks for your painting sketch, followed by 4-5 weeks to finalise and deliver, depending on scale.
• Illustrations: The initial design stage takes 2-3 weeks for creation and proofing, and 2-3 weeks to get the final piece printed and delivered.

For paintings, you’ll receive a rough sketch via email and a real-life colour sample in the post.

For illustrations, you’ll receive a mini version printed on the same paper as the final piece as well as an email proof

• These steps enable you to check in real life, not just on screen.
• If you have any second thoughts on colours, the proofing process brings an opportunity to address them, giving you complete peace of mind

I don’t offer framing due to delivery logistics but am happy to recommend places if required.

As bespoke pieces are made especially for you, they can’t be returned / refunded. However, as mentioned above, before getting the final piece made, you’ll get a physical colour sample to check for reassurance.
